 Good Afternoon and Happy Monday!

I just got my new treadmill from Sears a couple days ago, set it all up on Saturday night (it wasn’t that easy), and tried it out Sunday night. I love it! I did another 20 minutes on it this morning. Yesterday I also bought a Bally fitness “deluxe ” package from Walmart which consists of a fitness ball, two 2lb weights, two different resistance bands, and an instructional dvd. I think I’m going to like this working out at home. 

I use to be a member of the YMCA; the premium locker room with the steam room, whirl pool, and towels! I loved the steam room. But I really hate lugging all my stuff to the gym, shower stuff, clothes to change into before I go to work – and sometimes I forget things, like a bra! Ugh. So it was just really not motivating. I finally puchased my treadmill and a few things to work out with at home and so far I’m loving it! This is what the items look like:

Finally, in response to Snarkland’s question, when I was younger, I was terrified of flies. Yes, those innocent, non-threatening, buzzing little insects. I would lie awake in bed under the sheets because they were flying around my lamp. Or they’d be on the window of a door and I’d be too afraid to open it because I thought they’d all attack me.

I went to Chapters and there were a bunch of books on sale! I’m talkin’ like $1-$2 for hardcover books. Bookshelf fillers anyone? I got a few. What would have cost me $200 retail was only $27! I think I hear the Scottish celebrating.

There were a lot of books but what I’ve chosen looked to have decent content. I think I may hit the used book stores in my area to find some deals on acrylic painting books. I’m just getting back into it as of recently. I use to take a visual arts class in high school and I loved it. I’ll need to find books on learning the acoustic guitar as well. I have a guitar and took lessons for a couple weeks, quit, and now I want to learn again, on my own. Is it me, or do I seem to have some sort of difficulty in committing to things? I just need to be more self-motivated and become dedicated this time around.

Okay, this picture doesn’t show off my new phone at all, but my phone took all these pictures you see in my post today! Some are blurry, but I’m still getting use to everything and whatnot. And my pink silicone case, of course! I do love it. My cell phone carrier is Telus and this was an upgrade to my original LG Chocolate 8500, which is now junk, I really put that phone through a lot! I’ll have to take good care of this new one and not drop it on pavement and ceramic tiles every other day.  My contract was coming to an end so I was looking around to other carriers (Rogers, Bell/Aliant, Virgin, etc). But after listening to everyone’s opinions and reviews (that of my co-workers and friends), I’m pretty happy with Telus’s services so I figured I’d stick with them.

*sigh*… No car today… Next time though!

Also, in response to Booking Through Thursday’s post on Thursday 26th about books that we know are fabulous but have never gotten around to actually reading them and would like to someday, mine would be: the Twilight series. Everyone is reading them now. There are – what? four? – four books out as well as a movie, all my co-workers are reading them, circulating their copies at work. I figured I should get with the now and read them sometime. I’ll borrow someone’s copy and if I like them I’ll buy them for my personal collection. Also, I would like to read some classics in which I always notice references made to these classics often, such as Emma, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, things like that. And The Secret. The Secret is actually one of those books that I said “I should probably read someday” and I’m just about done it now! It’s different. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I’m not much of a spiritual person nor much of a believer. If “The Secret” were seriously that easy, I would totally believe it! But I don’t know… Sometimes I think its all garbage. But again, I’m on the fence on this one, parts of the book or the concept I do believe, others not so much. I mean this whole thing, the law of attraction and positive thinking, is nothing new.

Anyway, that’s about it for me. I should get a move on… Nice to be back. Have a great weekend everyone!

1. Enough with the freezing cold weather in Canada; -40 degrees!

2. A Century Party (a drinking game) this Saturday and an overtime opportunity Saturday night (midnight-8am) causes me to be conflicted. Ps. I went with the overtime… I know, I know.

Personally, I love BC’s raspy voice. I’ve been listening to it over and over in the past couple days.

1. Why do you keep a blog?

I cannot think of any good reason except for mere personal pleasure. I read other people’s blogs, I read and I read all the time, and I just always wanted to write myself! Nothing was ever stopping me. Well, except that I thought you needed to have some kind of a reason or some sort of theme such as a craft blog or a fashion blog, something or other, and that you could not just have a random blog. I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to focus in on if I were to have my own blog. So I’m just not going to. It’ll be about anything and everything. Hey, it’s my blog! So to sum it up: an outlet for personal writing, like a journal. And as you’ll notice, I’m pretty brand spankin’ new too – this is my third post; the blog is only 2 or 3 days old!

2. Who is one long lost blogger you wish would come back?

There’s a couple of them. I use to follow blogs religiously when I was in middle and high school. Sacred.nu was among a hand full of them (before it became an amateur porn site). And I would follow suchadork.net. I also followed scandalous.net (or com or org or I don’t remember now). 

3. If you made a New Year’s Resolution, did you break it already? If you did not make one, why?

I have made several resolutions, refer to my first post. Let’s just say, it’s still in the making. There is still time! The year is not yet over! Admittedly, I haven’t been completely devoted to these resolutions in the past week, and I agree that it’s not the best start. However, I do have a plan! It’s not as if I’m trying to quit smoking and I just fell off the wagon. I’m actually a non-smoker by the way. My resolutions are not a make it or break it deal. I’m still good.

4. People who still have their outside Christmas lights up. Festive or Lazy? Discuss.

Festive! There are some people who might actually be just plain ‘ol lazy, but do you blame them all that much? You spend all that time and all that energy just to get ‘em on up there, so why not enjoy the pretty night lights for as long as you possibly can! 

5. What is the last annoying song that got trapped in your head?

Poker Face by Lady Gaga. When I first heard it, I liked it. It was a fun little dance song. But now? It is starting to get on my nerves. 

6. Have you ever worn or tried edible underwear? What are your thoughts on it?

Great question. No I haven’t tried it. And will I ever try it? Most likely not. I’m pretty open minded and enjoy trying new things, but seriously, I don’t see how this is at all sexy. I am trying to picture it. I don’t even know what a pair really looks like! I guess I could just google it, but before I do, I’m thinking it’s either like a Fruit Roll-up type thing, or like the candies that are made into necklaces or bracelets and you bite them off (I’ve seen edible bras made like that before). The idea to me just seems kind of silly. I’m looking at photos on google now and the Pull N Peel knitted thong looks cool! Although, I personally just cannot see myself wearing a pair. But maybe I’m wrong. 

Bonus: If you could do one bad thing and get away with it, what would you do and why?
